The JLC & Associates, Inc. Career Readiness Scholarship Program was established to help relieve some financial barriers for students pursuing professional certifications and licensure in high-demand career fields. Through this initiative, JLC & Associates invests in individuals who are committed to building stable, successful careers in skilled trades, professional services, and entrepreneurial industries.

1 | Scholarship Overveiw

The program provides financial support to students pursuing career pathways such as:

  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

  • Cosmetology Licensure

  • Barbering Licensure

  • Real Estate Exam Preparation & Licensure

  • Skilled Trades (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical)

Scholarship recipients are selected based on career commitment, personal motivation, financial need, and recommendations from school leaders or mentors.

 

By supporting students on their path to licensure and professional certification, the JLC & Associates Career Readiness Scholarship Program aims to create real opportunities for individuals to achieve long-term career success and financial independence.

2 | Application Process

Students may apply after being nominated by a principal, counselor, teacher, or employer. Nominated students will receive application instructions and must submit a completed scholarship application including a personal statement and reference. If the student was not formally nominated, a principal’s or employer's signature is required to verify enrollment and eligibility.
